BREAKING : Senate Health Bill Vote Delayed Until After Congress's July 4 Recess

‎BREAKING : Senate Health Bill Vote Delayed Until After Congress's July 4 Recess

Senate Republicans have delayed a vote on their health-care bill until after the July 4 recess, Senate GOP aides and a Republican senator said.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) told lawmakers of the delay at a closed-door lunch Tuesday, aides said. No Democrats are expected to vote for the health-care bill, and it faces opposition from both conservative and centrist Republicans. So far, six GOP senators have said they are opposed to the bill, and the party can lose no more than two.
