French government sold 8 billion euros of various government bonds

The French government sold 8 billion euros ($10.3 billion) of various government bonds, including 4.02 billion euros of 10-year bonds.
France's debt agency said the 10-year auction attracted 6.61 billion euros of bids, producing a yield of 3.29%. That's up from 3.18% in a December sale. Bids exceeded the amount sold 1.6 times, down from a bid-to-cover ratio of 3.1 in December.

France also sold 690 million euros of a October 2023 bond at a yield of 3.5%, while a sale of 1.1 billion euros of a 2035 bond produced a yield of 3.96%. France sold 2.2 billion euros of a 30-year bond, producing a yield of 3.97%.
