Fr Credit Suisse::: Astra International (ASII, N, PT Rp65,900): Robust February Auto Sales Volume
- Indonesia saw robust auto sales in February with 4W and 2W reaching 86,407 units (+13% MoM, +24% YoY) and 666,136 units (+3% MoM, +9% YoY) respectively, bringing 2M12 total to 162,772 units (+14% YoY) and 1.31 mn units (+3% YoY).
- ASII maintains its leadership position in the Indonesian auto market in 2M12, commanding 59% and 56% share respectively – vs 55% and 51% in 2M11.
- On a side note, ASII’s main competitor in the 2W segment, Yamaha continued to post market share rebound, supported by normalizing components supply from Thailand and new product launches.
